Angie D'Amours grew up in Durham, and her immediate family still live there on the same homestead her grandfather started in the late 1930's. She attended Brunswick HS, and the University of Southern Maine. After graduation, Angie spent 24 years in the hotel business, doing everything from making beds and waiting tables, to sales and most recently, as a General Manager. Presently, Angie works as director of sales at the Highlands Retirement Community in Topsham where she finds working with seniors and their families a wonderful and rewarding experience. In 2001, she purchased a home in Lisbon, and soon after became active in volunteering for various community groups including the Girl Scouts, and the Sugg Parent Action Group. Currently, Angie serves as Secretary for the Lisbon Athletic Boosters, and she also enjoys volunteering for Lisbon Parks and Recreation Committee. In 2017, Angie became involved with Positive Change Lisbon through the Playground Project at MTM Center, and in 2018 was elected as President of the Board. Angie enjoys volunteering with PCL, as the group's vision of promoting Lisbon as a great place to settle and do business is very much aligned with her own feelings about her hometown. She counts the collaborative nature and positive outlook of the members as some of PCL's greatest strengths.
When she's not volunteering, Angie loves spending time with her family and friends, travelling, reading or fixing up her circa 1870 home in the Falls.
